We drive around in cars that go fast.

The horse and buggy days are a thing of the past.

Cell phones go wherever we go.

We have knowledge of things our forefathers did not know.

Television and computers give instant access to the news.

Alas, sometimes this is simply a door to the blues.

Let’s look back to the days when our ancestors thrived.

It was faith which was from where their happiness was derived.

They were not bombarded with instant news of the events of the world of gloom.

They were given time to deal with troubles that come to loom.

They lived one day at a time and trusted God for tomorrow.

They enjoyed life’s happiness and dealt with its sorrow.

Today, we have convenience they never dreamed about.

We also deal with sin, crime, sorrow and doubt.

Let us absolve ourselves from the faithless times in which we live.

We can derive much more pleasure if only we live to give.

Give to the poor, give to the sad and give to comfort those who are in pain.

Pray for the world and for your friends and pray that your faith can always sustain.

Let not science become the destruction of your soul and your heart.

Trust in God and know the joy that only he is can impart.
