This poem I dedicate to my wife. She works the night shift as an RN. She lives during the day as a wife, mother and grandmother. She is love.

She is An Angel of Mercy She is an Angel of mercy in more ways than one. She works through the night until comes the rising sun. She is a nurse who looks after her patients as they rest through the night. She answers their pages if they turn on their light. When she gets home she is another kind of angel, so dear. She is a wife, mother, grandmother who loves those she holds near We are all her loved ones for she says we make her life worth living. She derives her joy from the love she is giving. I worry that she does not get enough rest sometimes. I watch as she sings to the grandchildren and reads nursery rhymes. She grabs a few winks of sleep throughout the day. Tonight at eleven she is again on her way. Angel by night and angel by day She is my Angel for her love will not sway.

This is very true about nurses. I have the highest regard for them. Having three of my own.Many nurses remember coming to my home and studying allnight. I would provide sandwiches and coffee. I now have two visiting student nurses coming once a week. They enjoy seeing my art work and my poems. They also have given out my name Marguerite The Little Flower on Authors Den to others to read and enjoy. God Bless Our Angels Of Mercy. Marguerite
