Things We Take for Granted

It is morning and sun rises in the east but that is nothing new.

The morning comes and soon its noon and on a good day the sky is blue.

Clouds will float peacefully across the sky but we often are to busy to see.

But when summer storms come upon us with thunder and lightning it awakens you and me.

The evening will bring the sunset in all its wondrous display of colors so bright.

The sad truth is that we too often are too busy to notice its beauty but only the dimming light.

Every day will come and go and what do we notice about it?

Only that we are growing older but not always wiser and thus we do not profit.

Tomorrow will bring another sunrise.  Will we take the time to admire its glow?

Will we admire the clouds floating throughout the day and the sun as over the mountains it will go?

Will we thank the Lord for he has given us this life to live?

Will we see opportunities to share with others and in this way God’s gift we will give?

Another day, another dollar...  Sadly this has become our motto.

Have we considered that we are not thinking as we ought to?

Let us enjoy every sunrise and every sunset that God Gives.

And let us share his wonderful love with every single being that lives.
