I noticed one of those billboards that have been posted around our area. They have said things like, “Don’t make me come down there,” signed God. Or “For God so loved the world that he did not send a committee.” Another said “CH__RCH! What is missing?
U. R.”
The one I really like is, “My way is the Highway.” That prompted the following poem.
You have heard people say it many times I am sure.
It may be your boss or your mother or dad.
It makes us conform to whatever life has in store.
Well, I can only say that is really too bad.
“My way or the highway,” they sternly proclaim.
This means that they think there is no other way.
However, this closes doors on relationships and that is a shame.
Our Heavenly Father has something better to say.
“My way is the high way,” he says in a powerful voice.
If we follow his way it will lead to everlasting life with our Lord.
So, you see my dear friend it is a matter of choice.
Do we follow his way and live by his word?
The alternative is a life that is lived without faith hope and love.
If we take the high road we will be in his presence always.
Our sins will be forgiven and our souls lifted above.
We will live our lives held securely in his mighty arms for all of our days.
I love this write...I enjoy reading those signs too. I read a sign in our small community today....it went something like this...If you've been waiting or looking for a sign to go to church, this is it. They are thought provoking just as this write is..great write!
