Emptiness is a void we can fill!

Many people are afraid to truly love. Love, they think exposes them to hurt so they shield themselves from this uncertain thing called love. They shield themselves from the true st source of happiness.

Poem Artwork

If you look at your life as empty and old
It is possible it is so because you do not dare
To fill the emptiness with someone to hold
Someone has the power to make you care.

If you look at your life as an empty page
It is a page begging for you to fill in the blank
It is possible that you have an internal war to wage.
A war between you and yourself and if you win you will have your own self to thank.

Emptiness is a lack of love freely given which inspires love in return.
It is true you will become vulnerable and there could be a heartache.
What you need to ask is this, “Does my heart not now burn?”
The answer my friend is ‘this is a chance you must take.’

To love is to open your heart and your soul to those around.
To love is to allow your own self to tear down an emotional wall.
Love will allow you to bask in the wonderful sound
Of songs about caring, joy, sharing where happiness can abound.

Let not yourself dwell in seclusion so loneliness, hiding in fear.
It is good to live, love and be happy for there are great treasures to be had.
Love you sister and brother and that one you hold dear.
Live, love, forgive and fill in the void and take good with the bad.

If you look at your life as empty and old
You are looking past the key to happiness sublime.
Reach for the dear one you love with your arms to enfold.
For true love will not pass away over time.

Great write...we do have to open our hearts and soul to others in order to recieve love. I have met those whom choose to be alone and seclude themselves from others, they are very sad people indeed. Enjoyed this much.
Merry Christmas and God Bless,
