Some of the most beautiful scriptures in the bible is the Psalms. I like the 23rd. Psalms in particular. Though I could never write such beautiful writings as these, this is one of my Psalms, praising the Lord.

The wind is chilled with flakes of snow falling.
My fingers feel frost bitten from the blustery cold.
Over the sound of the wintry wind I hear someone calling,
“Press on, my child, press on. Be faithful and bold.”

“I have promised that you will one day be with me.
You will never feel the cold or pain for you will be set free.
You will know only great joy and hear music that soothes the ear.
For you are my child, one who I truly hold dear.”

“Press on through the cold winter’s night.
Press on through the summers burning heat.
Know that I am aware of your plight.
There is someone in the glory of Heaven I want you to meet.”

The voice is sweet even as it traverses across the cold winter air.
It is the voice of my Savior who leads me to go on.
He knows my joys, my fears as well as heartaches and is willing to care.
In him I find faith to pursuit my dreams for he is my sun.

I will warm my hands with the fire sent from God’s Holy Spirit.
When he calls to me I will acknowledge his glory and listen in silence.
His words give great knowledge; I have only to listen that I might hear it.
For I know that one day I will see Christ coming in great glory and radiance.

When he comes to harvest all who have not lost faith in the Master
He will lift us up to be with him for eternity in God’s wonderful kingdom.
He will come to save us from the Earths great disaster.
We will live in harmony with him in wonderful freedom.

“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Thus saith the Lord.
