His Birth, Life and Death

This is a time when some do not wish to celebrate Christmas. They fear that in doing so we will offend others. This is not new to our Lord. They hung him on a cross because his words offended some who were made blind. Let us not be made blind. Let us worship our Master and know his love always.

all Gifts to Us!

He left his throne and came to Earth.
A stable was his place of birth.

He gave himself to his master and to us all.
His life on Earth started as a baby small.

He lived, he loved and he healed the sick and lame.
With his wondrous love he cast away our blame.

When Christ was born they sang to him in praise.
They were amazed at his knowledge in the early days.

As he grew there were those who resented our Lord.
They could not accept the living Word.

They plotted a way to put him to death
How their hearts sank when with his dying breath.

Jesus cried out, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Even the pain would not erase his forgiveness for me and for you.

He left the throne and came to Earth.
A stable was his place of birth.

His death was not a symbol of our loss.
It was for us that he hung there upon the cross.

We celebrate Christmas to recognize his birth.
We celebrate Easter to praise his rebirth.

Because he defeated death he has paved the way.
We will follow him on that final day.

Then we will spend eternity in Heaven above.
We have this hope because of his great love.

He left the throne and came to Earth
We praise our lord…, we praise his birth.

"He left the throne and came to Earth

Lew, you have outdone yourself with this one. A lovely presentation of the birth, life, and death of our precious Lord and Savior. However, Christmas shouldn't be just the one day...since Christ is in us, Christmas should be every day. (Having said that, have you noticed that once December 25 is over, all the stores discontinue playing Christmas songs? I wonder, do they think Christmas is only about presents? If that is the case, they have missed the point.)

God Bless
LOL

Eternity in heaven above...reminds me of my poem I wrote this week inspired by a dream...Twas The Night Before our Savior's Return...this was a great write, and yes, he gave the ultimate gift to each of us..and it is free and one that will last a lifetime and then eternity...loved this, I too believe that we should not be ashamed of our Lord Jesus Christ and that we should remind people that He is the reason for the season. I can't imagine a Christmas celebration without knowing and celebrating the true reason of what Christmas is all about.
Blessings and Merry Christmas,
