This is my faith. This is what I believe God has in mind for me. Why? I know not. I have not earned his love but he has chosen to love me anyway. I can’t explain how is this is possible for he has chosen to forgive, to strengthen and to prepare me for a life that is yet to come. Faith is an interesting thing. If I could prove it to you it would not be faith. Jesus once said, “Blessed is he who has not seen and yet believes.”
My body grows old and my hair turns gray.
I get oh so tired by the end of each and every day.
I know that this physical being is slowly wearing out.
It is doomed one day be buried in a box of that there is no doubt.
But my spirit is only restrained by my body right now.
Once the body gives up the ghost the spirit is released somehow.
It will fly to the sky. It will unite with my Lord on Heavens golden shore.
My spirit will live for eternity. It only needs to pass through Heavens door.
I know that death will be the last sting of life on this earth.
My body started to age from the moment of my birth.
But my spirit knows no limits and prays only for God’s love and care.
My spirit through Christ can go where my body would not dare.
Life is a constant changing. It broadens causing our hearts to expand.
When we have grown enough in the Spirit then the Spirit will surely stand.
It will stand by the Master and converse with his son.
It will praise God long after my earthly life is done.
I praise God for his love for he has made all that is on the earth.
I praise him for he has shown me the reality of my spirits worth.
So fear not death and fear not the future or what it may bring.
Know that your spirit will stand with our Lord, share praises and sing.
Lew, beautiful! A great tribute to our Lord Jesus Christ! Those glimpses are but a drop in the bucket for God has in store for us. Thank God we can see! Hugs, sharon

Yes, the physical self is just a shell for the spirit. This is one awesome write. Thank you. Hugs, Laura
Very inspiring write my friend, what a day that will be when we all get to Heaven, I often wonder what Heaven will be like...according to God's word it will be beautiful, all peace, joy, happiness and healthy, no more pain or sickness over there. Enjoyed this so much!

Indeed the shell we wear will return to dust, but the Spirit within, God's precious breath of life, will soar and return to its eternal home. What a wonderful God we serve and love! Thanks for sharing your heart, Lew.
Amen, Lew. So often, we are guilty of mourning a loss, upon a death in the family, and fail to remember that their spirit lives. Beautiful and inspiring poem. Thank you!
