I have a pet cat that I have grown very fond of. She seems to have her own way of looking at the world but even in her eyes I am compelled to see the wonders of God’s world.
She has eyes that see in darkness and she roams about at night.
It does not matter to her that nowhere is found a light.
She looks at things that move about untroubled by darkness all around.
She becomes a traveler as she hears each crickets lonely sound.
She has eyes that see in darkness and she roams the night alone.
In great curiosity she searches for treasures as through the night she will roam.
She seems content to be in the dark and never Secom’s to worry.
She knows the darkness is her turf and she never seems to hurry.
She has eyes that see in darkness but she knows soon comes the morning light.
She knows that the morning sun will announce the end of another night.
If we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God above and all around
We will know that just as the cat understands that the night will end we will soon hear the trumpets sound.
We have eyes that see in darkness but we search patiently for the light.
We can see the true source of eternal happiness and the true creator of delight.
Jesus Christ will come through the clouds and darkness will be dispelled.
Sin and doubt will have no place in God’s holy Kingdom and the faithless will be repelled.
We have eyes that see in darkness but we search for God’s Holy might.
For in his Kingdom there will never be darkness, no day or night.
Hi Lew, I once had to memorize a children's story for a drama class I did. I chose, The Puppy Who Wanted to Be a Cat!
"Cats can do anything they like," Penny said to her brother and sister. "I mean, just look at Ginger?" (Ginger the cat did an awful lot of dozing and was never, ever, in a hurry.)I guess Penny was right; cats do anything, and they aren't ever afraid to prowl at night. Neat how you weaved our spiritual eyes into your prose.
Praise the Lord I Saw the Light! Loved this wouldn't have thought about comparing the eyes of a cat, but you've penned the comparison well. Enjoyed!
Blessings,

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
