I spoke about the cat that can see in the dark waiting the morning light. Through Christ we too can walk through the dark with the help of the flame of his eternal love. It is a light that will never go out so even when things seem dark we know that God standing with us through Christ.

There is a light that shines within me.
I take no credit for it for it though it is there for all to see.

Its brilliance can be overwhelming causing some to shade their eyes.
Where does this light come from? This is a question I can only surmise.

There is a light that shines within me.
It is a gift from God the same who created the sea.

The light shines bright and even if I wanted to hide it from others sight.
It would simply glow much brighter, enough to light the night.

The light is the love of Jesus Christ who hung upon a cross for our sin.
The light is the living word of God who came once to die but will come again.

There is a light that shines within me.
It warms my heart and soul and fills my mind with glee.

God placed that light within me while I slept to awaken to find it there.
As long as I allow that light to glow it will lighten every worry or care.

There is a light that shines within me.
I take to credit for it though it is there for all to see.

This gift from God is eternal light and as such will never burn out.
Because the light keeps burning my heart will sing praises without doubt.

The light is Jesus Christ my Lord, my savior and my friend.
Because of him I will find a life where there will be no end.
