God has spoken to many people in the bible using dreams as a mode of conversation. I am sure he still does. This is a fictional write about a dream that I never had just as I wrote it but I have had dreams that have uplifted my soul. I pray you have had them too.

I dreamed that I stood in the air suspended by Gods almighty love.
I could see the shining light from the Heavenly city far above.

I basked my soul in the wonderment as I stood there on that cloud.
From where I stood I saw the beauty and heard the angels singing sweet and loud.

Then it occurred to me that I knew not what it was that held me there.
I turned my attention to the ground below and suddenly I could only stare.

I fell down from the cloud so high and fell toward the earth below.
I tried to look above again to see Heavens wondrous glow.

But the earths pull was mighty and I fell fast like a rock.
I knew I must pray to God or I would hit the ground with a sudden shock.

“Dear Lord,” I prayed. “Please help me for I am helpless and fear that I am lost.”
I continued to fall while flying back and forward where ever the winds had tossed.

Suddenly I lay in darkness and wondered why I felt no pain.
I had just fallen from the cloud as fast as a drop of rain.

When I realized that I was at home in my bed and I prayed to My Lord on high.
I wondered what this dream meant. I was sure God was speaking but knew not why.

As I prayed his answer came and replenished my heart with love.
He told me if I would serve him I would focus on things above.

“If you set your mind on worldly things,” he said. “They will keep you from rising up.”
Focus your heart and soul on Heavenly things and you can share from Christ’s own cup.

The earth will go its own way but that direction will lead it to its doom.
There will be hatred, wars and rumors of wars and days filled with gloom.

If you have the spiritual strength to rise above the devastation
Heaven awaits and it is there that you find your revelation.

That is why it is important to keep looking upward toward the city of gold.
Trust in God, allow him to work within your life and be compliant as he works to mold.

If we but confess our shortcomings and learn to love our Master
Heaven awaits our coming and we will be saved from Earths disaster.
