If you listen you can hear his voice. It is sweeter than any earthly sound. It can also be louder than thunder. I have learned to listen while his voice is sweet. The thunder means I have disobeyed.
“The higher you climb, the harder you fall.” That’s what Dad would say.
I find that this is true to life as we live from day to day.
He used this in reference to politicians and people who live to succeed.
He always wondered why so many wanted so much more than they need.
There is one time when climbing high is good and I pray I never fall.
I am climbing the stairways to heaven, there to answer my Masters call.
The higher I climb the closer I am to the great protector in the sky.
The closer I am the more strength I obtain. It is his strength I draw from and that’s why.
“Why what?” you may ask and I will answer that’s why I climb up there.
For the love of the Heavenly Father gives me courage and that’s why I dare.
I will climb up higher and higher and pray to God that he holds me firmly in place.
My strength is based on faith and love… his strength and love so any challenge I can face.
I hear his call and I answer it. “I’m coming Dear Lord,” I cry.
I know my love for him comes from him and that is the reason why.

Some days the climb is exhausting, but with His strength, all things are possible.
