Spring has returned again. I hope it is here to stay this time. It inspired me to write about the renewal of life. The wonderful balance of nature is built upon the fact that each part works to complete the whole. I hope you enjoy this next poem.

Poem Artwork

The March winds are now coming soft and slow.

The warmth of the sun is melting the snow.

The snow turns to water and seeps into the ground.

It will water the flowers and now I hear a familiar sound

It is the sound of birds singing in the air as they build their nest.

They take little time now to stop and rest.

I see the sprouts of the daffodils as they reach for the sun.

They will grow and blossom until they are done.

They are crying out now to a dear friend.

If you listen carefully you can hear the message they send.

Flutter by little butterfly and drink of the nectar we share with you.

We know you need us and we need you, too.

Your wings are a beautiful sight admired by all.

We will welcome your presents till the coming of fall.

The wild flowers in the fields and the buds on the trees

Call for your presence as they wave in the spring breeze.

Flutter by little butterfly for we beg for your presence.

Caress our petals and we will share our essence.

Flutter by little butterfly for you share life with each flower and tree.

We are all a glorious  part of life’s reverie.

This is so lovely, Lew. As I look out my window at over a foot of ice and snow waiting to melt, I let myself get lost in your words of spring.
Very nice.
Love,
CJ
