My friend, have you performed a Miracle today?

I am guessing I know what you are about to say.

It is one thing for a man to teach what he claims is true

But it is another thing to demonstrate it to me and you.

That is why the miracles of Jesus are a vital part

The miracle was winning over the sinful heart.

For he not only spoke of Gods’ great might.

He came to show us the majesty of his great light.

His miracles were a message to those far and near

That the son of God was truly here.

Yet, man rejected his wonderful works and cast them aside.

Gods’ goodness was too brilliant and we all tried to hide.

They hung our Lord upon the cross and mocked him and jeered.

His purity had caused man to run from his love for they found that they feared.

They feared the responsibility of admitting their sins and weakness.

They could not bear to bough down before him in meekness.

The final Miracle the Son of God did impart

Was a gift given to us all given by Jesus from his heart.

He hung on the cross and prayed for our forgiveness.

He arose from the dead so that his disciples would bare witness

That god so loved the world that he gave us his son.

This is why Jesus proclaimed to the Father, “thy will be done.”
