When I was a child I understood Easter only in part.

I did not have the price paid by Christ from the heart.

I was taught that this was the day when my Lord lifted from the dead.

I only know that this was what my folks and pastor said.

To me Easter was a time of joy but not so much because of his resurrection.

It was a time for chocolate bunnies, Easter eggs and candy of a great selection.

As I grew older and realized the true meaning of Easter day

I realized that our sins were taken on the shoulders of our lord

And thereby washed away.

Now I know my Lord died for me and he also died for you.

He died on that cross because man was lost and knew not what to do.

I suppose as I think back on it, Easter and Christmas both got caught up in

Commercialization.

Now it time we declare the truth to each and every nation.

Jesus lived, witnessed and died to set up a grand relation.

A relation which would bring man to God and thereby satisfy our need.

Our sins were washed away because our lord allowed himself to bleed.

We are saved by that blood.
