This morning I went to a specialist on allergies. After poking way too many holes in my arm he discovered that I am allergic to dust. Imagine that. I left the doctors office and got into my car which was covered with dust and other allergens I had to wonder, “How do I avoid dust? Stop breathing? I don’t think that would work. Well at any rate I stopped dwelling on the dusty problem and thought back to my drive to the doctor’s office. It was early morning so nature was putting on its wonderful show. I found myself talking to God. As I rambled on about what was to come I suddenly stopped and asked, “Am I talking to your, Lord? Possibly I am only talking to myself.



I came around a turn and a beautiful sight met my eyes. The half moon was still in the western sky. In the east was the sun and in the west there set the moon. It was almost as if God were saying, “Do you see that?” This had to be a sign that he was listening. Maybe it was my imagination but even if it were he gave me that imagination. At any rate, it prompted me to write the next poem.
