My mother is now with God or asleep awaiting the resurrection;

I know not which but I do know I hope my life leads me in the same direction

Whatever Heaven is: I can not fathom exactly what it is or will be

Therefore I simply trust in God for when it comes I know I will see.

While I am yet a mortal man I will remember my mother’s advice which I still remember today.

When she spoke of prayer she would calmly sigh and say,

“Be careful what you ask for; for you may get it one day.”

She was trying to warn us that if all our prayers were answered as we requested it could simply lead us astray.

God always answers our prayers but he is a stern father and sometime will say,

“No, this I will not do for you, I must ask you to press on and obey.

Obey my word and study my word and never let yourself be caught up in the riches of the world in which you live.

What you ask for you cannot have but eternal life I freely will give.

If you would accept this gift I offer to you

You must follow my Son and it will reflect in what you do.
