Today is different

A man reaches a point in life when he cherishes everyday. If I had the power to go back I would change things but knowing me I would probably screw it up again. Therefore I simply trust in God and live each day for the most I can and trust tomorrow to take care of itself. If I live today right, tomorrow will reflect it.

Poem Artwork

Today is different in every possible way.

“Why is possible?” you may say.

I answer you, “Because it is not yesterday.”

Yesterdays are filled with some great accomplishments but expectations may not have all been met.

Today is a new beginning; we start over; with prospects of greater accomplishments.

We change some of our expectations and make some adjustments.

Today is the first day of rest of our life so we begin anew.

We learn from our yesterdays and these fashion what we plan to do.

Yesterday is just what it says; a time gone by.

We may look back on disappointments and breathe a heavy sigh

Or we can press on for today is today.

And what we do now may make our tomorrow a better day

So dwell not on the mistakes made in the past

For the present passes by and it passes too fast.

Live every day as a day with potential for learning

For those things your heart, soul and mind will forever be yearning.

Today is now LIVE IT!

Nice, Lew (as always). Suggest: "For those things you heart, soul and mind will forever be yearning" To: "For those things your heart, soul and mind will forever be yearning". (Don't mind me - always proofreading). I especially like the central theme; that what we do today is how we make tomorrow better. Neat!

Today is now and the only time we can really control. The past is done and the future is unknown, but if we strive to make this day the best we can make it, we'll be okay. A much needed reminder and very inspiring.

Thanks,
Jill
