I watched the moon rise in the east as the sky darkened from east to west.
It drifted above the mountains and as it did its colors changed with glorious zest.
Soon it was a giant ball of white shining down from overhead.
It seemed to smile as it shared its light freely giving with nothing to dread.
How relaxed it seems floating way up high with light radiating below.
Its beauty never seemed to pass out of existence but quietly continued to glow.
The sight it created caused me remember many a cold winter night
When the same shining moon shined down on the snow reflecting its awesome light.
Oh the beauty of the moon, quietly and yet brightly shining in the midst of the dark night.
It is joined with specks of twinkling stars creating a beautiful sight.
Let us not take for granted the sight; such a wonderful view in the night.
If one only takes time to admire the beauty; you will thank God for such a wonderful light.
