A Pax wrote of the wind. I sounded like the old adage, “If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it; does it still make a sound?” Yes it does. If the sound is not heard it still was crying out. Maybe people cry out for our help and we don’t hear them. Does that mean they didn’t cry?

Poem Artwork

The wind is painting a picture in the sky.

It does not care if it is seen by you or by I.

It happily and freely goes about its way

Moving clouds about; causing them to scatter and sway.

If nobody sees the wind does not care.

If someone takes time to notice they see it working there

The wind will continue putting on its wonderful show.

It pushes and scatters the clouds through which the sun will glow.

The wind is invisible but it cares not that it is unseen as it dances

Though you see not the wind it creates wonderful glances

It creates a world of unknown, unseen and things uncertain.

The wind dances like it pleases until its final curtain.

It dies down and becomes a quiet gentle breeze and then is no more.

The next storm front will soon move in from the sea and confront the shore.

The wind will once more began to paint the sky; moving to and fro.

It may be a beautiful picture or a destructive echo.

One cannot see the wind but we can see its works of art

Once it moves things about and then once more it will depart.

It is there:  It is just like God.

It is a messenger of God.

We are all part of the "pic picture," Lew. Well expressed. Thank you. Love and peace to you,

Just because we don't 'see' or 'hear' doesn't mean a thing.
God's majesty is all around us. It is unfortunate that we miss a lot looking for 'something' else.
Your poem is practical and inspiring.

Lew, we can't see the wind but your poem caused this reader to see it and feel it in most every line in the poem. You captured a the wind in a magnificent way and brought it to life through this great writing. I've often wondered myself about the wind and just where does it end up and as its gusts rush throughout the earth does its flurry bring life to others? I think this is a gem of a poem.
