My mom died at the age of fifty-four. Dad left this Earth at the age of seventy-four. It’s been years since they left but I feel their presence still. I take comfort that they are in the arms of God and that is why I was compelled to write this next poem.

Years ago two lives are snuffed out; or so it seems. Leaving behind them loved ones who mourn and unfulfilled dreams. Is it the end for these loved ones we’ve lost or do they live on? Though we can’t see where they go we understand where they have gone. There is a Heaven and it knows no sadness or stress. There is no heartache and worry; there is never duress. *Joy abounds for eternity and God holds them in his strong arms.* *They will never face death again and can come to no harm.* Sing praises to God for he has relieved them of their heavy load. The place we call Heaven is forever their abode. Mom and Dad I will miss you until the day I catch up. On that day we will meet with joyful hugs as together we sup. *The ways of the Lord are not easy for we cannot see* *There is a place of tranquility prepared for you and for me.* He is calling. Can you hear him? He is waiting for the right time. When that day is come and the church bells chime *We will have need for this mortal body of ours no more.* *Our spirit will float gloriously through Heavens open door.* All this because we gave our heart and our soul to Jesus Christ; Gods son. Our cares shall be relieved and our Earthly battles will have been won. *Mom and Dad; I miss you!*

Such a wonderful tribute to you Mom and Dad. It brings tears of joys knowing that one day you will be together FOREVER, thanks to our God above!

This loving portrayal of an undieing love is also what I feel for my Dad, Step-Dad, my three sons, my brother and all those loved family and friends who are in this life no more.

A very touching write my friend! I am blessed to still have my mother...she will be seventy at her next birthday in April. I thank the Lord everyday that I have with her. I have lost both of my grandparents who were my second parents, they were my sitters when my mom worked, we lived in a very small community and I spent more time with them at a young age than I did at home. I lived across the road from them until my grandmothers death, which was about the time that we bought our farm. Times that I cherished dearly were the times that I spent with them and the time that I still have with my mom. I too feel that there spirit remains with me daily, I often feel words of wisdom within my spirit that they spoke as I was growing up and as an adult...great write my friend!

Beautiful tribute to your parents, Lew. I'm sorry for your losses.

It's been 17 years since my own Mom died, I miss her, still. Daddy still alive, thank God, but his health not the best: pray for him.
