Our Lord did not paint a rosy picture of love and joy throughout the earth.

He did, however give us a clue as to how to know joy for all it’s worth.

He told us things would not always be easy and warned of wars, killing and atrocity.

However, in the mist of all the anguish we see there can still be personal peace for you and me.

Trust in his love to see us through the hardest times for they must come to pass.

There will be those who come with idle promises to try and appease those who are the hungry mass. 

Trust in God and all his goodness to see you through each of life’s horrid pains.

For one day you will see him in all his glory coming to us with angels singing refrains.

Know his love and know his goodness and try to live to reflect it to all you know.

As you master this art of kind, sweet love you will see the fruit within your spirit grow.

Do not let the anguish of the world drag you down for God can lift you up above

And as you are lifted you will find that we are protected by his almighty love.
