The beauty I see outside my front door inspired me to write this. As always, it prompted me to praise God.

Poem Artwork

As I sit upon my living room sofa I look through the front door what do I see?

There is a beautiful scene displayed by an old Maple Tree.

Why do they call it a Yellow Maple, you may ask.

The answer is evident when autumn winds blow and its leaves are unmasked.

They change from green to yellow instead of red, orange or brown.

And then one by one they let go of the tree and flow softly to the ground.

Once there, they are joined by more leaves from that tree.

The cool autumn breezes blow them around like waves in the sea.

Now we have answered the mystery of the name of the Yellow Maple tree.

It stands bravely awaiting the cold winter winds and snow with limbs which will soon be

Bare and bleak until the warm sun comes in spring

And gently wakes the maple, roses and everything.

Then the whole cycle starts over again and the tree sprouts buds which grow into more leaves.

There is a symbolic meaning of all this as the tree stands through the winter for it believes

In the coming of spring and life to begin anew; the trees burdens this faith relieves.

This is a message to me and to you as we dig deep into our souls to find faith to live through each day.

Do you believe in the life that will give us rebirth into glory without sway?
