Anyone who has ever found themselves caught up in hopeless situations will understand this next poem. It tells of how you can find your way through the darkness by following the light.

Poem Artwork

Through the darkness I stumbled and fell for I could not see for there was no light.

Carefully I felt my way along praying to God to help me make it through the night.

Then I saw the first signs of sunrise in the east and I knew God had answered my prayers.

It was then that I realized that the light had been with me all along though I was unaware.

We are each like a lamp which aluminates the darkness if only we will allow ourselves to gleam.

We have the power to guide ourselves through the night and the ability to dream.

If we dwell on sunlight, admire the stars, moon and other sources of the light

It will help us see in darkness and guide us successfully through the night.

The light of God will shine even in the darkness if only we have eyes to see.

If we allow ourselves to dwell on the light our minds will be caught in wondrous reverie.

Yes, indeed, Lew ... let that light shine out. And your light will help others who are faltering in their own darkness. Love this one, Lew!

I needed this today; need solace, comfort, and hope. Our daddy died the other day; it was expected, but still, it's so hard! Keep Karla and I in your prayers!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears! <

God brings the light to us when we pray about things, how to get out of our troubles, for patience in waiting for things, for his guidance in leading us to the right pathway, etc. You are absolutely right, wondrous reveries come to us if we allow ourselves to dwell on the light. Good write.**********

A most enlightening poetic piece, my friend.
