They Loved

He loved her with all his heart and mind.

He gave to her the keys to them forever.

She gave to him her gentle touch and the radiance of her shining smile.

She promised him her trust, love and faith would never go out of style.

As they grew older their passions did grow cooler but they never lost their glory.

They simply relied on one another for a source of happiness and that had become their story.

As the years took their toll they each understood that this life on Earth was temporary

But somehow they also understood the fact far from ordinary.

When the trumpets blow and the Angels call they each yearned to hear their call

His love would for her would go as would hers for him as they dance at that Heavenly ball.
