This thing that we know as love

It is an undying elation and feeling of devotion

It is often pictured as a beautiful white dove

It is shared by you and another, this glorious connection

It is best described as dedication, adoration and affection

It causes you to care for and revere and brings joy and sometimes tears

It is a mixture of cherished dreams and of uncertain fears

This causes one to drown in this sea of loves inundation

Loves waves can cast you to and fro but you have given your heart

So you simply accept whatever compensation loves wages does impart

Even if you might be freed from loves unyielding incarnation

Your heart would not unleash itself from loves magnificent inspiration
