Speakers for the Word

If we live by the living word and if we teach the same

We received mercy and do not lose heart for we have renounced hidden shame

We do not walk in craftiness nor handle God’s word with deceit

Teaching the word in truth, accuracy in its integrity and fully complete

It is not of ourselves that we are committed to preach but of God’s only son

For it was through his grace that our salvation has been won

We are pressed on all sides but we are not crushed or in despair

Although the world may persecute us we are not forsaken

Our faith in our Lord is tried but our devotion is not shaken

For the God raised up our Lord from death’s endless grasp

To the wonderful place where the workers of Satan have no clasp

Where we shall one day see God’s wonders, to date still unseen

The things that are seen are temporary; what are eternal are those things, unseen
