"Out of the abundance of [a man's] heart his mouth speaks" (Luke 6:45). A man cannot claim his heart is kind if his words are unkind. He cannot claim his heart embraces heaven's values if his mouth speaks the values of the world. The heart is a reservoir and the mouth a faucet. When the faucet is turned on, whatever is in the reservoir comes out. Paul writes: "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt" (Colossians 4:6). Elsewhere he writes: "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers" (Ephesians 4:29). Listen to your speech! Analyze your heart!

If a man has truly given the Heavenly Father his heart His love is truly reflected within the words he does empart It is God's love and his goodness that this man seeks This is reflected in each word that this man then speaks For it is true that he cannot claim himself to be kind If the words he speaks are forever unkind A man's heart is a lake from which his words does flow If his heart is full of love then his words will thus show But if his heart holds animosity it will be known by your word Therefore, it better to impart love as a tribute to the Lord Analyze your heart! Listen to what you speak Moreover, seek not corruption for let it be God's love which you seek

I loved this Lew!I even like the title. Yes, I believe that also. If we have a peaceful heart our words will promote peace. I need to remember that. Thank you for sharing your wonderful faith!
