A door closed on a page of my life on a day years ago
A problem with my heart caused me to let my career go
From that day on there were many limitations of what I could do
I was depressed and disheartened, just feeling plain low
That closed door stood before me, its hold would not let go
I then found an outlet for I was fond of writing
I realized to write something and make it rime was downright exciting
This was a door that God opened, asking me to change course
I found it expanded my mind and I made friends so I feel no remorse
My advice to you, friends, is if a door closes for you
If it will not open look for a new avenue
God will not close a door except he opens another
Don’t be afraid to step through, dear sister or brother
Hugs,
Marcia
