I turned on my TV set today and watched a rerun Of “In the heat of the Night”

Here they were celebrating Christmas “but” I thought to myself, “the Christmas season hasn’t begun”

We all know that Christmas doesn’t happen here in the middle of July

Yet, here they were sitting around the Christmas tree singing, “Oh Holy night”

In spite of myself I realized that I was singing along

For Oh, Holy night was always one of my favorite songs

I couldn’t help but contemplate for what’s wrong with Christmas in July

We should be celebrating every day the Birth of the savior of you and I

For today is a day that the Lord has made

Today, as is every day

So I wish you a Merry today and tomorrow and all your days forthcoming and your months and your years

In fact let us celebrate all of life whether it brings joy or tears

So with joy in my heart I wish for a Merry Wednesday to you

And Thursday and all days forthcoming and all of God’s blessings too
