A man who is true to himself will have no trouble making friends
A friend is someone who stands beside you through whatever life sends
He will be the first to lift you up when you are feeling blue
When you feel the whole world has let you down he will stand there beside you
He may not always be vocal but it is he who will lend an ear
I speak about my very best friend, the one that I hold dear
My friend is my Lord Jesus who hung high on a cross to pay for my iniquities
The one whose love transcends all others and is meant to last eternally
He loved me when he hung on that cross and he loved me when I fell
He stands with me and justifies me to the father thus saving me from Hell
I love my lord with all my heart because he first loved me
He will be your friend too if only you will let him be
I will tell to you what my savior in his love has shared with me
“No man comes to the Father except he comes by me
