“Boy, you’re a dreamer,” that is what my mother told me
She thought I was caught up in an unrealistic fantasy
I have always preferred to think of myself as creative
My mind may seem to stray but that is why it is inventive
Keep in mind, my friend that great accomplishments began with a fervent dream
If someone acts upon that dream and keeps working it is not as hard as it may seem
Someone dreamed of what would happen when you fire up iron and thus we now have steel
A man once worked at cutting the corners from the stone and he invented the wheel
What would the world be like today if there were no dreamers, no one with aspirations?
We have cars and planes and microwave ovens all from people who worked to accomplish their visions
The secret is if you have a dream work to fulfill that aspiration
You can fulfill it if you believe in yourself and work with unrelenting ambition
There once was fellow named Lew
He was blue because he had the flu
He cooked up a broth
Threw in it a moth
He drank it and now he's not so blue
Sorry, friend. I could not resist. (LOL!)
Love and blessings to you,
Regis
