The sun sets in the evening but it does not go away
It will rise again at daybreak to start another day
Though the sun is unseen through the darkness of the night
It still gives off its glow reflected off the moon to shed its light
Think of it this way. The Sun is symbolic of our God in paradise
The moon represents his only son, our Lord Jesus Christ
So when things seem dark and doubts begin
And our very soul seems to be adrift to sin
Just stare into the moon and picture Jesus standing at the Golden Gate bidding us to come on in
The lesser light to rule the night is Jesus Christ our protector
The radiant sun giving off its light is God who is our creator
Believe on him
