You’ve heard, “curiosity killed the cat,” I’m sure
But what if the cat never wondered what’s beyond the next door?
What if the cat became apathetic and simply became bored
Curiosity is the desire to know, to expand our minds and to learn
It is a driving force which makes us want see, understand and discern
It is the gift to marvel, and wonder at life’s aspects and realities
It is the power to discover and understand life’s idiosyncrasies
If there be no desire to learn man would never have invented the wheel
Many of the comforts which we take for granted would never have become real
Some think curiosity causes man to snoop and pry where he was not meant
But without curiosity the mind of man would have long since become dormant
So feed your curiosity. Be not afraid to wonder and see
Curiosity is the desire to learn, discern and make this a better world for you and me
