What man among us has never made a wish?
Who had a hope for which his soul aspires?
The wise man does not simply wish
But labors to fulfill his greatest desires
A man’s hopes are longings and nothing more
If he simply stands outside the door
But fears to open it for he knows not what’s on the other side
He will never know the opportunity from which he hides
And never knows the fulfillment of his aspirations
His hopes will die and he will stand in trepidation
Because though he wished but did not act upon those visions
His hopes and dreams will slowly fade and then expire
For he feared to work toward that for which he did desire
