A man may spend a whole lifetime gaining riches to use or store
However when his soul is required of him the riches benefit him no more
These are earthly treasures that he unwisely hoarded and protected
For he gave his heart to these material possessions and not this soul as God directed
He may be the wisest of all men in the ways of the world he lives in
But if this man knows not the ways of God his views are based on sin
The truly wise man would leave it all and follow after Jesus Christ, God’s only son
Then he would realize the presence of riches that will travel with him when his earthly life is done
My advice to you is to follow God. Take the highway and reflect his love
The thankful to God for your earthly possessions but place spiritual rewards above
The Highway to Heaven may not be paved in Gold.
One may find many heart breaking stories there to be told
But to those who have the faith to travel where it leads
Those who repair it with kindness, love, forgiveness and good deeds
They will follow with faith and travel where the road brings
And join in when they hear the Angels sing
