*I had a goal, a mission which I planned to accomplish* *Completing that task had been my greatest wish* *I thought I had meticulously planned it perfectly* *But my first attempt as I designed it turned out inaccurately* *So I tried this and then I tried that* *I wanted exciting but it came out flat* *I thought to myself, “I’ll give it one last endeavor* *By this time my thoughts were, “it’s now or never”* *That last shot turned out to be my final blunder* *I proclaimed, “I quit” and walked away but it left me to wonder* *What is the very next try had brought my goals realization?* *I would not have been left to suffer these feelings of frustration* *There would have been dancing in the streets with great jubilation* *If only!*

Oh! Yeah, We all have THESE FEELINGS of regret. I didn't give up - My book, The Garden Path' finally made it. Out of 2l8 poems etc I chose l3l and produced a book. Look for it on Lulu. soon on the market. I will try to advertise on Authors Den and other places. Any advice from a pro will be appreciated. At 89 still going strong. I am just an old rose still blooming

loved it Lew, kind of reminds me of some of my quitting failures in life. I quit school but went back and got my degree, I gave up on my deadbeat dad cause he didn't love me, later on he died and left all his land to a cousin, if I'd kissed his butt right I'd be pretty wealthy now. I'm proud of myself for not giving up on writing even though I had thought about it, too much darn drama, I'm low profile believe it or not. Anyway I decided to go on and be the extrovert I'm not, I almost gave up on my wife but decided to hang in there, I have no regrets for staying with her, besides I'm too old to start over. take care
