Have you ever tried to search the mind of our eternal father?
To discern just what it is he is thinking about?
Can you contemplate his joys and things that bother?
Can you think so pure, so holy and so devout?
So as to fully understand our Heavenly Father?
I venture to declare we, none of us can fully comprehend
Our minds cannot grasp what Heaven is when seen in all its glory
Built with love to insurmountable that our minds can’t apprehend
We received a glimpse of his almighty love for we all have heard the story
About his son who came to be a reflection his never ending love
Even though we pray and search we see only as through a darkened glass
We now see Heaven as a shadow of some place far away and somewhere up above
Have you not wondered why God went so far as to let them hang Jesus on that tree?
What point did our Heavenly Father wish to make with the resurrection of his son?
This announced to us a true and virtuous love from God for you and me
Because Jesus paid the price of our sins our forgiveness thus was won
Keep studying the word of God and learn more each day you live
Study his ways and give your heart each day till your life on Earth is done
And know ye this, the more you learn the more you recognize the love he has to give
