Sin destroys like acid rain
It too easily becomes an addiction
It is the originator of tormenting pain
This strong and deceitful fixation
But God in heaven is the provider of loving grace
This grace is the bridge over this troubled sea
It expunges the penalty of sin and places redemption in its place
This bridge is strong enough for you and me
It has been many a person’s source of salvation
It can be built at your request but you must step out on it
with faith in Jesus, our liberator
Knowing that the price of sin has been amply paid on the cross by Gods own son
For on the other side of this bridge of faith there stand our God and Jesus, our redeemer
