We live in a world of opposition
Torn between animosity and affection
To love is the deepest and fondest passion
While hatred can lead to pure detestation
Sadly, the world revolves around this competition
Love can build and reward all of civilization
But, hatred builds and thrives on devastation
A passion that destroys and can cause complete destruction
Yet mankind cannot overrule this need for antipathy
This driving force built on disgust and animosity
Men to easily reject all points of view but his own
This causes many a man to find himself sad and alone
Mankind was so caught up in this passion of gloom
Which can grow and multiply and leave nothing else any room?
It leads to war and turbulence and more hatred and more war
If only we could master the art of love war would be no more
Mankind could live in harmony and friendship and tolerance of others
We could immerse ourselves in understanding and thus love our sisters and brothers
Jesus came to show Gods love but man fear it and rejected him then
Now you can reach for his love. Open the door to your heart; he will come in
