Send what you will oh evil one for God’s spirit dwells within me
No Earthly comforts can give to me such joy and ecstasy
Earthly treasure will soon wane but God’s love is eternal and priceless
Though you send poverty or illness my way I will not give in to stress
You prophecy devastation and promote hatred and iniquity
But Jesus Christ has shown me the way to live eternally
I will not bow before you and your wicked ways of sin
For Jesus Christ has opened the golden door and beckoned me to walk in
I love my Lord with all my heart and soul because he first loved me
For when he hung upon that cross he set my enslaved soul free
So send my way what you will but I will not betray his wondrous love
I will accept the grief that you may send my way and I will rise above
The Holy Spirit comforts me and gives me strength that on my own I cannot boast
I will press on each day to do his will for he is my Lord and my host
