Child protective services finally stepped up today.

After three years of phone calls, faxes and reports,

This sweet young girl will receive some relief;

From the craziness at home, each and every day.

Her mother has abused and manipulated her cruelly,

Her dad, the last straw, grabbed and fractured her arm.

She is scared, for sure of what is now the unknown,

Doesn’t know where she will live.

What she doesn’t know, is that my assistant at school,

Is soon to become her new foster-mom.

She will be okay, she shows such relief,

She can focus now on herself and on being a kid.
