Karen! Such beauty in your words!
Everything in life is a choice, we can choose to make a difference, listen and help where WE ALL CAN...
Such hope and faith in what is forward in life, never going backwards!
I am a School Bus Driver, I influence children daily and their parents/teachers and my bosses, They influence me and inspire me also, WE are all connected, then through my writing, I take it further...Sharing! and Inspiring! Is so important to keep hearts lifted! and to continue growing!
Turning the mundane into something new and beautiful is easy to do, I do it all the time, as gratefullness is always in my heart and mind!
Listening to a PROUD and not so proud H.S. student read to me (while I am focused on my safe driving) of his/her report card, cuz they want to SHARE and I CARE!My Granddaughters smile, when I drive up in my jeep to pick her up for the weekend ~ Bringing a care pkg. food/etc. to my daughters each time I see her.
Smelling fresh green grass mowed and talking to my neighbors! Printing a poem for a family member, friend or neighbor, cuz I feel they might NEED to hear it ~ and it might brighten their life!
A new perpective is always enlightening! and eye opening! Thank you for making me think deeper!
Love this Poem! and a Keeper for my "Karen Library" I stayed away too long... I miss hearing your melodic songs! Sorry this was so long...

Well Karen you know the one thing I love to do and it gives me great satisfaction. However, your poem brought to mind the peace and pride I feel in the ordinary things like keeping a nice home and garden, grooming my dog, helping out a neighbor when needed. Smiling at a stranger can change their day and lift their spirits. To smile at a little child and see them look at you with joy in return is a special feeling. To feel my grandchildren's arms around my neck for the first time is a feeling beyond compare. I like to give "just because" presents to those I care about to show them I do. There are so many things. Yes, turning the mundane into a joyous marvel is the secret of a happy life and mine is.
