Dance this Fast
Most days I am okay,
Some moments even better than that,
But then there are the times,
When the weight of my world,
Weighs very heavily on my soul.
I bust my hump to keep it all together,
To take care of children and grandchildren,
The horses, kitties, ducks and dog.
Most months all the bills are paid,
And there is food on every plate.
So I ask myself what is this angst about,
You have created a good life,
Check out that sunset, smile that you are here,
And declare that at the very least,
I live a contented existence,
It is my own choice to run this hard, dance this fast.
