problems of being an ageing poet
TODAY I AM AWARE Today I am aware of bones. As a rule they do their job do not intrude. Today on this uncomfortable seat the pelvic frame, long spans from hip to knee demand acknowledgement. I cross, uncross seeking ease find only elemental truth This once too-solid flesh does melt or whittled by the years it slips away till you begin to feel the scaffolding beneath the skin and so today I am aware of bones. ��

the older we get the closer we recognize our skeletal being yet but must not forget we are surrounded by a youthful and vigorous soul ...
