Passionate and involved, as always, TRASK.

Similar problems came about almost 50 years ago in Germany when 'foreign' workers were needed and invited. They did have to respect and learn the language, however.

..indeed food for thought..when I visited Australia last year I found a similar problem there..also it was rsther frightening to find that the African moslem community couldn't give a hoot about Aussie laws etc. they won't learn the language and they don't respect anyone.except their own kind..it is sooo sad...I must say that the Aussies are just too tolerant..damn!

Here in Kansas, our Mexican workers are polite, hard-working and they do the jobs no one else wants to do. Their language is colorful, beautiful and their singing and traditions marvelous. On the other hand, some possible illegals have been caught doing terrible crimes. But Our Lady of Guadalupe parish brings the little kids along, and that generation, the next, will learn our language. It simply takes time, and patience from us.

oh, boy...you do NOT know what i really think; i just may burn down authorsden with all the foul language i am thinking as i read this; i face this every time i work, and i HATE it!! WHY are they even HERE?? and WHY are they NOT learning our language or making ANY effort to do so?? it is f****ing nutz!!!

i don't care WHERE someone's from. if you want to come here to america, do it LEGALLY and LEARN THE DAMN LANGUAGE!!!! amd if you don't like america, GET THE *BEEP* OUT!!!!

if i went to their nation, i'd take the time to at least learn the basics. it's only courteous. no, they expect US to cater to THEM

and another thing--americans won't work for less than ten dollars an hour, hell, that's if they can even FIND a job--illegals will work for just about anything, that's why they're hired--the restaurant i work at is full of 'em--and they won't learn MY language???? NUTS!!!!
