My comment:
I think when we fell on hard times and had survived, that we know that we are being given the strength by God, or our guardian angel is with us.
My hubby and I was in a very bad situation when we were younger, (and when I say bad, it was really bad - like just bread and water bad) - no one really had come into our rescue with all our relatives around, but somehow I don't know or remember how - we got through it alright, bounced back very quickly. So, I guess, we were both blessed by God for dealing with the situation the best way we knew how, since we were both of young age at the time.
Anyway, this was a very thought-provoking piece. Brought back many memories. Good write.
