Mirror Mirrors Don’t Lie They tell you the truth If you’re pretty, you’ll know it If you’re not they’ll show it Just look in the mirror What do you see? Are you an original Or do you want to be me? Look in the mirror It shows who you are Your faults and flaws Your inner shining star Look in the mirror To find your true self What makes you so special Your treasure and wealth Look beyond “beauty” That can be bought and sold Search for your rainbow Your own pot of gold Your mirror is yours A reflection of you Your special reminder Of all that is true Hold tight to your mirror And keep it real close For there within lies Who matters the most. © Stephanie Lyas.
