I have so valiantly fought the good fight
Unyielding, I sought after so many ideals
If even I have only begun the quest in my mind
Body promised, paid for, given away
My life set a course unchangeable
My soul given to raise another with sunlight
Insides always a mass of intellectual ideals
Heart always churning with feeling and running over
I spark alive with burning ambitions
And enough is never, never enough
What is satisfaction but to climb
The highest peaks and then quest
For another challenge to rise to
The mundane unsatisfying to greedy souls
To find material wealth and luxury
To ride the crest of the wave of absolute love
To find enlightenment and absolute Truth
This unquenchable hunger to conquer my world
Will leave me forever sleepless and dissatisfied.
This is good in its conception, fantastic in its premise and well-written in its delivery. What else can a poet ask for? A hell of a lot more according to your words. I concur.
