To walk amongst Angels I once aimed
Hoping peace and harmony would come
Carrying out good and righteous deeds
Until my mortal days were done.
But then one day I had a vision
Of what I truly wanted life to be
Which left me in a lot of confusion
As changing things was down to me.
“How could someone as lowly as I
Make a difference to this world?
Maybe I should just let time pass-by
‘Cos who would listen to my quiet word?”
For I wasn’t in charge of a Nation
Nor was I a rich, famous celeb
The only thing I had was my passion
And the love I wanted to spread.
Then I realised one drop of water
Into a cup which is already full
Can cause it to gently flow over
And cascade like a waterfall.
So if I always act out of kindness
And do for others what I can
Maybe more will end their blindness
And help out their fellow man.
Then we can all care and protect
All of our God’s living things
Showing our love and respect
As if we were wearing Angels’ wings.
